Lawnscaping Challenge #118 sponsored by Lawn Fawn

Good morning! Another fun Lawnscaping Challenge is up today - In with the Old! Dust off those unloved goodies for this challenge. I haven't used a couple of these sets in a little while, so I got to work creating this card.

Our amazing sponsor is Lawn Fawn for this challenge, so be sure to read the rules on the blog and enter your project for a chance to win!!

Here is the card I created for this challenge:

I had an idea that I wanted to use this mailbox but make it just for letters for Santa, with the letters spilling out of it! And why not add a few packages in there? The background was created with several snowflake and star stamps. For the bluish glow around the mailbox, I created a simple mask of it with a sticky note and then rubbed on some light blue ink with a craft sponge. It gives it some dimension and a soft glow that reminds me of blowing snow.

I listed all the products at the end of the blog post. Here are a couple more images of the details on the card!

I hope you enjoyed my oldie but goodie project today! Play around with those forgotten about stamps and supplies and have fun with it! Thanks for checking in!

Lawnscaping Challenge #104: Sketch

Good morning! Lawnscaping has a new challenge up today. See the image below for the sketch we are following. Lots of ways to go about this one :)

The sponsor for this challenge is Lawn Fawn! I hope you participate because they have SO many things to choose from to order...

And now for my project I created using this sketch:

For this card, I used a variety of different Lawn Fawn stamp sets to create this card. I wanted the sentiment and feathers to really pop, so I chose to use a black/chalkboard looking paper to use for my blocks behind the main focal point.

I trimmed them all down and grabbed my Memento Luxe ink in Wedding Dress and started having fun.

The upper left block, I used the bow and ties of the bow from the Lawn Fawn Winter in the Park set, as well as the small star which I stamped in Radiant Neon, Electric Yellow. It's very subtle on there which is just what I wanted.

For the upper right block, I used the three hearts that come in the Lawn Fawn, Love You a Latte set. I grouped them on my stamping block and started stamping, rotating the block to create the background.

The large block at the bottom of the card was fun. I used the dotted line from the Lawn Fawn Deck the Halls set and swirled it on my stamping block in the shape you see here. I then stamped the three berries in the open spaces from the same set.

For my fun little cluster, I picked a large dark wood flower from my stash and adhered that to the card. I pulled the SMILE sentiment from the Lawn Fawn Into the Woods set and stamped it onto a piece of pattered paper from the Snow Day 6x6 Petite Paper Pack. I used my Versafine in Onyx Black to really make it pop! It's a juicy ink pad. Love it.

I simply cut around that and used foam adhesive to glue to the card, right in the center of the flower.
I took the two feathers from the Lawn Fawn, Dream set and stamped them with Versafine, Onyx Black onto some watercolor paper. I diecut them out using the coordinating Lawn Cuts set.

To color them in, I used my water brush pen with Distress Ink in Scattered Straw, Radiant Neon in Electric Yellow, Electric Blue, and Memento in Nautical Blue and Tangelo. I painted the colors on so they blended nicely. I snuck in a piece of cording on the flower using my Lawn Trimmings Triple Pack Cord and used foam adhesive to stick on the feathers. I found a cool arrow chipboard piece in my stash that I snuck in there as well. It brought a little movement and color to the entire card!

I hope you enjoyed my project and that you play along with the Lawnscaping Challenge this time. Check out the BLOG for full instructions and to link up your project. Happy crafting!

Lawnscaping Challenge #100: Birthday Celebration

Good morning! Today is a special day at Lawnscaping because this is the 100th challenge!!!! Can I get a woot, woot?! So excited to be a part of this team. I had a lot of fun creating this card. Check out all the details on the Lawnscaping blog to participate. The challenge is birthday celebration. SO fun...

You'll want to because our amazing sponsor, Lawn Fawn, is giving away a great prize for this. LOVE me some Lawn Fawn, but then again, who doesn't??

AND there is something even more special to this challenge...we each invited someone to create a project as well! I chose the super talented (and amazing photographer) Latrice Murphy to play along with us! I'm so glad she accepted the invitation. Check out our projects below!

Be sure to check out the Lawnscaping Challenge blog where you can see ALL the Design Team projects as well as ALL of our special guest projects. You'll love all the inspiration, so grab a cup of whatever you please (always coffee for this girl!) and check everyone's amazing projects out today.

Here is the card I created for this challenge:

I found a similar layout on Pinterest (sorry, I can't recall which pin!) and went with it. For the card base, I chose a white card. Then I cut another white panel a little smaller and started playing with some paper in my stash and cut them at varying widths and glued them onto the white card piece in a diagonal. I had fun with that!

For the circles, I cut out 6 circles in white and started stamping!! I used Memento in Tuxedo Black for all of the stamped images/sentiment. I used the Lawn Fawn Monster Mash for the monsters and I colored everything in with Spectrum Noir Markers. I used some fun little elements for each monster circle using Lawn Fawn Trim the Tree, Winter in the Park, Deck the Halls, and Beep Boop Birthday

I used Memento Luxe, Dandelion, Memento, Tangelo, and Radiant Neon inks in Electric Pink and Green for the little elements.

I just love how this came out! So fun for a kiddo's birthday.

Here is my special guests, Latrice Murphy, card she created for this challenge. Check out the details at her blog post

Big shout out to Latrice for accepting the challenge to play along today with our 100th challenge!!

I hope you join us and play along with this Lawnscaping challenge.

Lawnscaping Challenge #97: Sponsored by Ellen Hutson

Happy 2015!! Here is my first project of the new year for you that's for the Lawnscaping Challenge #97. The theme for this challenge is winter Pinterest inspired images. I had a lot of fun with this challenge.

The wonderful new sponsor is Ellen Hutson. Check out the store because it is amazing! You have a chance to win a gift certificate to spend there.

On to my project for this challenge!

I decided to use the bird and snow inspiration from the Pinterest photos in the badge for my card. The patterned paper, which looks like snow to me, is from the Lawn Fawn 6x6 Snow Day Petite Paper Pack. I cut out a simple circle in the top center of the paper to create a little window for my snow scene.

For my scene, I used the bench with Memento Luxe ink in Rich Cocoa from the Lawn Fawn Winter in the Park set. The snow on the back of the bench is also from that set. I used some Stickles to make the snow sparkle! For the little bird, I chose him from the Lawn Fawn Making Frosty Friends set and colored in with my Spectrum Noir Markers (TN3, TN5, TN7, OR2) and paper pieced his scarf from the Lawn Fawn 6x6 Sweater Weather Petite Paper Pack.

Under the bench, which is a little hard to see in the photo, I colored in a light shadow with my Spectrum Noir Marker in IG1 and blender pen. It creates a sense of dimension there!

The snowflakes were from the Lawn Fawn Winter in the Park and I used Memento in Summer Sky to stamp them. It's a pretty soft blue color.  Love it!

The sentiment was stamped from the Lawn Fawn Making Frosty Friends set in Memento Luxe ink in Rich Cocoa. I trimmed the right edge into a pennant shape and added a simple bow using the Lawn Trimmings Natural Hemp Cord. You must get some of that!!!

I hope you join us in the challenge! You have until Wednesday, January 14th to enter. You can view all the details at the Lawnscaping blog. Hope you enjoyed the project.
