Sown with Love

Good morning! It's funny because I love these gardening type sets and I don't garden! I have a black thumb I always say. But I'm hoping that next spring, I can start and maintain a successful garden full of herbs and veggies for us. Fingers crossed ;)

I know a lot of people who love to garden and these sets are perfect for it!

The little seed packet die is probably my most favorite. This would be a great way to gift a gardening lover some seeds for either veggies, fruit, or flowers as part of a gift basket!

Mermaid Love

Good morning! I know a lot of people love mermaids, and I think this set is perfect! It was so fun to color her tail especially. I used the ColourBlend Pencils and Sparkle Pens to make it appear more lifelike and shimmery.

I gave it dimension by using foam adhesive. I decided to give her red hair as well to really make it pop against the bright blues.

Best Wishes

Good morning! I've got a really bright and adorable card today perfect for a little lady's special day. I just love the kitten. I colored it to look like our cat, Ashley.

Ah! I mean, how cute is that cat?! I know she's saying, just let me at that balloon. Just for a minute.

This is one of those stamp sets that's super fun to color and your imagination can really go wild. I wanted to do something different with giving them a shadow/background, so I used this dot technique I've seen others do and I'm a big fan now!!

Thanks for stopping by! I hope you enjoyed seeing this bright and fun card. Check out all the adorable images to color, and a variety of different products Crafter's Companion carries to color your creations.

Lawnscaping Challenge #140 sponsored by Lawn Fawn

There's a new challenge that's perfect for fall - COLOR SCHEME. Just use purple, black and a color of your choice! I can't wait see what you all come up with.

We are sponsored by the always amazing Lawn Fawn! Those folks just rock and they are sponsoring this challenge with a free stamp set of the winner's choice! So many stamp to choose from, I know. It's tough. We just heart them! Thank you Kelly Marie and gang for sponsoring us!

I had so much fun creating this card!!! As I've said many times before, I LOOOOOOVE Halloween. Everything about October is amazing to me. So I had to make a cute little card wishing someone a spooky Halloween...

As you can see, my color of choice was olive green.
That's the perfect compliment for this card I think!

I decided to really make this little vampire pop by putting him hanging from a branch.
Such a simple touch, but I really think it makes the card!

I wanted a soft purple to contrast with the dark olive and black, so I turned to my watercolor markers, watercolor cardstock and some water. I did flick on some black and white spray mist for an added touch. If you look closely, you can see in white where I stamped little stars. VERY subtle.

I popped up the wings and the ghost vampire off the background as well as the entire watercolored panel to give it some interest.

This was so much fun. I encourage you to have
a blast with this and enter the challenge HERE!

And now on to my take on the challenge! I had a blast with this since fall IS my favorite time of year! They say that Christmas is the most wonderful time of the year, welllll I think fall is!

For this card, I used the Stitched Leaves dies from Lawn Fawn and partially diecut them onto some watercolor cardstock. I placed paper shims in the die cutting machine to make sure they didn't cut all the way through. I did have 2 that did, but I just glued a plain white piece of cardstock behind that diecut panel. It kept everything in place.

I used some white pearls colored in with a gold Sharpie marker to add some dimension.

The leaf background was created using Distress Inks, water and a brush. So easy and so rich looking.

I added the striping under the panel with a simple gold Sharpie!

Have fun with this challenge!!
