Little Red

It's that time of year! Fall!!!! My most favorite time of the year, so I was anxious to make a card with the newest Sheena A Little Bit Sketchy Halloween sets. I chose to use the Little Red. I wanted a darker look to the card since she has a lantern. So I colored this image in with the ColourBlend Pencils. And important here, blend, blend, blend. That's how I achieved the blue glow around her like she was walking into the darkness. I'm thrilled with the way it came out!

The sentiment from this set is perfect, too. This could be a card of encouragement for anyone!

Thanks for stopping by. Take a look at the other Halloween sets available and much more over at Crafter's Companion!

What Lies Beneath

There's a brand new release by none other than Sheena Douglass. She's seriously amazing. This set I chose is called What Lies Beneath. It's another "right-up-my-alley" set!!! SKULLS. I told you, I love my skulls.

This would be a great card for my boys since they think skulls are cool. Well, so do I! :)

I wish you could see the sparkle on the skulls. I used the Crystal Clear Spectrum Sparkle Pen, so it's very slightly shimmery. I used a very simple and basic color palette for this card. The pop of orange on the sentiment piece adds just enough color without overpowering it.

Here are a couple more photos showing some detail:

Thanks for joining me today for the release. Be sure to check out the Crafter's Companion website and Facebook page where they will be sharing other inspiration from the other stamp sets in this collection by the design team! Happy shopping. You'll want to get these right away!

Butterfly Layered Card

Butterflies are just stunning creatures. They're delicate and so full of color with such a soft presence. I could photograph them all day long. So I decided to create a card using the butterfly from The Butterfly Effect by Sheena stamp set for this card along with the sentiment, If nothing ever changed, there'd be no butterflies. How true is that? Such beautiful and true words right there.

I colored in the butterfly using my Spectrum Noir Alcohol Markers (listed below) and then fussy cut out the butterfly. I pulled in papers that coordinated with the butterfly and used foam adhesive and ribbon with twine for some fun texture and interest on the layout. I honestly love how this card came together! All the color is just a breath of fresh air that you can send to someone to brighten up their day. Sometimes a friend may just need a little handmade gem of encouragement if they're going through something in their life, or if they need a bit of a pat on the back for making a change in their life. Nothing is better than support of a friend and loved one. I love having these types of cards on hand for those such occasions. Be a bright spot in someone's day.
