I'd Pick You

Good morning! Since spring has FINALLY sprung here, I wanted to make a fun and uplifting springtime card. Next to Bebunni, this is my second favorite of the sets offered by Crafter's Companion - Moonbeam Meadow. I'm a sucker for cute little animals, but in stamps or real life ;)

I made this a bright and fun color palette for this card and had so much fun coloring this image. I've linked all products at the end like I usually do for you.

Adding a little embossed panel really gives your projects interest in a subtle way.

He's just so happy and cute, how can you NOT smile at him?? Perfect pick-me-up card for a friend for any reason. Sometimes we need to just send people handmade items just because. After all, they're to be enjoyed right? And I know I'd enjoy getting this card.

I hope you've enjoyed my quick little card up today on my blog and that the bright colors and cheery bear made YOU smile today. I mean, it's the weekend, too, so smile some more!!

Thanks for stopping by. And be sure to check out all the amazing inspiration and products over at Crafter's Companion today.

Party in a Teapot

Another Saturday project up on the blog today! This is a ton of fun and quite simple to create. Just a bit of coloring and drying time involved :)

For this card, I used a kraft card base. I then used a piece of shimmering Cardstock in Rose Pearl and the Dreamweaver Embossing Paste with a stencil I have and went to town. I used a heat gun to help it dry and then stuck it outside in the sun for a little bit (maybe 20 minutes). When it was dry, I laid the stencil back on top and used some Radiant Neon in Electric Yellow with a craft sponge and smeared that in some spots of the embossing paste. I love that it shows up, but isn't too heavy. Added just enough of the yellow to pull it out of my colored image.

I tied a simple twine bow around the top in this beautiful pink lemonade color. I love it!

For the colored image, I stamped the Moonbeam Meadow, Time for Tea with Versafine, Onyx Black onto my premium white cardstock. I then took my Spectrum Noir Blendable Colored Pencils (100, 96, 62, 63, 89, 84, 19, 22, 37, 34, 46, 45, 68, 71, 78, 80, 50, 103, 94, 17, 25) and colored it in. I used my Spectrum Noir Marker in IG2 to add in some dots on the teapot and some shading under the teapot and box. I used a simple white enamel dot and my Spectrum Noir Marker in DR5 to make a heart. I snuck that onto the tag of the teapot instead of using a sentiment. This way, I can use this card for various events!

For Someone So Special

Happy May! Since Mother's Day is fast approaching, I wanted to share a card I made for one of the special ladies' in my life. I used the Moonbeam Meadow, Love Birds set for my main image. I diecut a circle out of watercolor stock using the Die'Sire Essentials, Circles dies. I colored the image in with my Spectrum Aqua Markers using Begonia, Desert, Terra Cotta, Heather, Sunflower, Fawn, Kingfisher, Navy, Bud Green, Peach, Marigold, Sunset, Slate, Blossom, Sea Green, Chocolate, and Aquamarine and my trusty water brush pen. I just swipe the larger end of the marker onto an acrylic block and pick up the color with my water brush pen and start coloring. These are by far my absolute favorite item to grab to color an image in.

For the sentiment, I used the Die'sire Essentials, Scalloped Squares with a piece of navy cardstock. I stamped the "For Someone So Special" from the Bebunni Floral, Bloom & Grow set with Memento Luxe in Wedding Dress and used some white embossing powder and a heat gun to really make the wording pop.
I glued the sentiment square to the diecut circle image and added three pearls for something fun. I wanted to make this really shine by adding some subtle texture and color to the background. I used a piece of Shimmering Cardstock in Yellow Pearl with my Blooming Wonderful embossing folder. I rounded all the corners to soften it up and used foam adhesive to glue to my white card base. I then also used more foam adhesive to blue my image and sentiment to the embossed panel.

I hope you were inspired to create some Mother's Day cards for those special women in your life. Brighten someone's day with a handmade card. It really makes the recipient feel special! Happy Saturday!

Heartfelt Wishes

Another one of my favorite series of stamps is up on the blog today. I used Moonbeam Meadow, Hugs & Kisses for this card. The mice are just too cute for words. I inked up my stamp with Versafine, Onyx Black using the Rock-A-Blocks and stamped it onto some standard watercolor paper.

I then colored my image in with my Spectrum Aqua Markers (Slate, Sepia, Desert, Blossom, Bud Green, Magenta, Spice, Amber, Marine, Evergreen, Sunflower, Wildflower, Terra Cotta, Chestnut and Meadow). I cut it out using my Die'Sire Essentials, Circles dies.

Now it's time to add some fun details! I used the Die'Sire Essentials, Scalloped Circles with a blue dotted paper and glued my colored image to that. I then pulled some coordinating papers out of my stash to build my card.

For the sentiment, I colored in the wood veneer shape with the Spectrum Aqua Markers to match the mice, and stamped the sentiment onto there from the same set.

Easy and totally sweet little card. This could be perfect for an anniversary, engagement, or wedding. Check out all the Moonbeam Meadow sets at Crafter's Companion!

Enjoy Yourself!

Good morning! Since it's been so wintery here near Chicago, I wanted to make a bright and spring-like card. I used the Moonbeam Meadow Everyday, Time Out set. This little guy just makes me happy seeing him relax propped up against the little mushroom fishing away...

I stamped him in Memento, Tuxedo Black onto the Ultra Smooth Premium White Cardstock and colored him in with Spectrum Noir Markers (TN2, TN5, TN7, DR2, DR6, DR7, CR9, CR11, EB1, EB2, EB5, EB7, DG2, DG3, GB1, GB3, GB6, GB11, IB1, IB2, LY1, and Blender). Then I cut him out using the Die'Sire Essentials Circle dies. I wanted this to be the focal point, but I also wanted to give it a little more color and interest.

I chose a simple kraft card base and used a smaller piece of kraft and the Blooming Wonderful Vintage embossing folder and sponged on some Distress Ink in Scattered Straw. I then rounded the corners and used some foam adhesive to pop it up off the card base.

I chose a blue floral patterned paper from my stash and used the Die'Sire Decorative Dies, Circle Doilies die (the larger of the two) and cut that out. Using foam adhesive, I adhered that to the embossed panel. I then used some more foam adhesive to glue on my little image and that's it! This card was all about the coloring.

Check out all the Moonbeam Meadow sets...they are ALL adorable. I will definitely be adding more of these sets to my collection. Visit Crafter's Companion website today to see these and other wonderful sets that are so much fun to create with.

Mouse Love

This is definitely one of my most favorite collection of images ever that are offered by Crafter's Companion. I just love every single one of these sets!!! For this card, I've used the new Moonbeam Meadow, True Love set.

I stamped my image onto the Ultra Smooth Premium White Cardstock and cut it out with the Die'sire Essentials, Circles dies (I used the largest one) and started coloring away. I used my Spectrum Noir Markers (BGR1, CR1, CR7, HB1, HB2, HB3, GT2, FS1, FS4, TN5, TN7, IB1, TN2, TN4, EB2, EB3, LG3, LG5, BT1, GT2, BT5, PP2, PP4, GB1, GB5, TN6, Blender) to bring this image to life.

For the sentiment, I cut that out with the Die'sire Just the Ticket dies. They are perfect for so many of the smaller sentiments. I colored it in with my Spectrum Noir Marker to match the water in the main image. I then tied a simple little twine bow in taupe/white and added that to the top of the die cut sentiment.

For the card, I used a simple white card base and some brown and light aqua patterned paper I cut into strips and glued down. I then glued down the mice image and let it hang over the right edge of the card and trimmed that off with scissors. I placed the sentiment in the lower left corner. Lastly, I added three aqua sequins to the image.

I hope you enjoyed it and please be sure to check out all the amazing sets offered from Moonbeam Meadow.
