Spectrum Noir Colorista Foil Notebook

I have another simple and beautiful project today using the Spectrum Noir Colorista products. This would be an amazing gift for a birthday or a holiday. There's this big one coming up in, less than 100 days (how scary is that?!)!! You could get a jump on your holiday crafting.

This notebook was one I purchased at my local craft store for $1. I didn't know what I was going to do with it, so I've had it a while. I'm sure we all have those items purchased for SOMETHING. This would be a great way to dress it up and give it with a gift of a pretty pen, and a small gift card for coffee. Think teacher gifts, too.

I used a sheet from the Spectrum Noir Colorista Butterfly Garden Premium Marker Pad. These have foil accents on them. They're so pretty and look amazingly high-end so you can use them on a multitude of items to gift give or decorate your own home. You can find the Colorista products over at HSN.com. Please also be sure to visit Spectrum Noir to sign up for the FREE online coloring course!!

I had actually colored most of this while at the airport/on the plane during a trip my husband took for work to Reno where I tagged along! If you've never been to Nevada, oh my goodness. GO. We come from the land of humid, sticky days from June through about the end of September. Ew. You're always in a state of sticky. There, NO STICKY. NOTHING. It's just hot. And it was amazing. It was about 95 there on average, but it wasn't unbearable because there's NO humidity. At least to us there isn't any! At home while we were there, it was 80-90% humidity, there the highest day was 18%. So I may just pack my bags. Not to mention the beauty. Sigh.

Back to my project!! So I colored this in with the Spectrum Noir Colorista markers, which again, blend so beautifully. I then just measured out the front of the notebook, adhered my colored butterfly image onto that, and added a black button! That's it. You could do a wraparound cover, or cover the back as well, but since it's just for me, I kept it simple! Another fun idea would be to add a piece of small elastic on the inside front or back cover to keep the pen handy.

I hope you are inspired to pick up on the adult coloring trend!! Thanks for stopping by.

Challenge 138 Sponsored by Lawn Fawn

We are sponsored by the always amazing Lawn Fawn! Those folks just rock and they are sponsoring this challenge with a free stamp set of the winner's choice!

Let's get on to the project I created!! I had a lot of fun with this one. Even my oldest laughed at it.

He laughed at the sweater weather and the sheep. We just went to the county fair so we had sheep on the mind! It is pretty funny.

I used a bunch of shapes in this card for the geometric challenge. I hope you play along with the challenge and enter your project in for a shot at the Lawn Fawn prize. Good luck!

Spectrum Noir Colorista Glitter Card

http://www.crafterscompanion.com/
Happy Saturday! Today I have a beautiful card that I can't wait to share. It was created with the new Spectrum Noir Colorista line!! These are amazing adult coloring marker pads and markers. There are foil, glitter and regular marker pads to choose from in different sizes. There is a great deal on a bundle over at HSN.com where you can find these products. Click THIS link to go there and see what there is to offer!

I simply colored in the balloon art from the Spectrum Noir Colorista In Full Bloom Premium Marker Pad and cut it to fit my card front. I adhered that panel on and then stamped the sentiment from the Stamp-It Australia Imagine, Time to Dream set with some Memento Luxe in Wedding Dress. I added a simple rhinestone to the little crown and popped it up with some foam adhesive. Very simple and gorgeous card!

I love the ease of making projects with these marker pads. You can take them with you anywhere, color them at your leisure and then create beautiful items with the colored pages!! The markers have a thin and thick nib that are great for smaller areas and then larger areas. They also blend fabulously!!!! I can't speak highly enough about all of the items from the Colorista line. Get them and you'll be coloring gorgeous images like this in no time.

Another great and FREE thing you can do is sign up for the FREE online coloring course from Spectrum Noir. There are videos to show you how to color and different products you can color with with tips and tricks!

An Apple A Day Card

Another pretty fall project is what is here today to check out! I grabbed this set from Sheena. It's called An Apple a Day and I love it. Nothing beats an afternoon of apple picking with my family. I usually make homemade applesauce, apple butter and more with all the fall goodies we pick. There's something about going out and picking your own fruit. It makes you appreciate farming and your local businesses.

How beautiful is that basket of apples?? Makes me want that fall weather NOW. Although I adore fall and the weather, and pretty much everything, I know that winter follows. So, maybe I can wait!

Thank you for checking out my project today. Go and look on the Crafter's Companion website to see all the amazing fall sets available for crafting, and even get a jump on those holiday projects.

Little Red

It's that time of year! Fall!!!! My most favorite time of the year, so I was anxious to make a card with the newest Sheena A Little Bit Sketchy Halloween sets. I chose to use the Little Red. I wanted a darker look to the card since she has a lantern. So I colored this image in with the ColourBlend Pencils. And important here, blend, blend, blend. That's how I achieved the blue glow around her like she was walking into the darkness. I'm thrilled with the way it came out!

The sentiment from this set is perfect, too. This could be a card of encouragement for anyone!

Thanks for stopping by. Take a look at the other Halloween sets available and much more over at Crafter's Companion!

I really enjoyed making this because I love coffee and texture. I mean, if you don't, then I just don't know about you ;)

I had to use that funny hashtag. #pslseason because it's really a thing. :)

I pulled in texture with the fiber on top of the tag, sweater patterened paper, lined notecard, festive cup sleeve, and the coffee beans on kraft. Mmmm. I love fall. And pumpkins. I thought this would be a cute card to send a friend to invite them to meet for coffee to catch up.

Join in the challenge and play along! Happy crafting!
