Thanks, You're Sweet as a Rose

I've got a pretty thank you card today I created with the Bebunni, Sweet as a Rose set. As you all know, I truly ADORE Bebunni!!! I had to get this set. I mean, how cute is she??? Yes, this little bunny today is a she.

I inked her up with some Versafine in Onyx Black (you want an ink that will withstand water being used with it) using the Rock-A-Blocks. I just recently started using these for all my large images and it's made such an amazing difference in stamp quality. They are even from pressure to inking. I love them. I suggest grabbing some for yourself!

I stamped her on some watercolor paper. Mine happens to be from the kids' art section at Target! I believe it's cold-pressed that works the best. I have another pad that doesn't work as well and I think that's why. Anyway, I grabbed my Spectrum Aqua Markers and my water brush pen. I am telling you all right now, you will see a LOT of my projects using these markers. I cannot get over how amazing they are. They have helped me create some gorgeous images. You'll see in this month to come...

I used the Spectrum Aqua Markers in Yellow, Slate, Charcoal, Moss, Peach, Jasmine, Burgundy, Black, Blossom, Begonia, Leaf Green, Aquamarine, and Scarlet for this image. They're just so soft and pretty!

To assemble the card, I grabbed a heavyweight pearl cardstock I've had in my stash for quite a while for my cardbase. I then chose a pink patterned paper for the bottom portion of the card and a lighter pink strip for the top. I left a bit of the pearl stock sticking out because it's really pretty in person. I found a small piece of canvas in my stash and I glued that on an angle over the other papers, and then tacked down the Bebunni colored image on the top, slightly off kilter. I used some letter stickers I had bought in the dollar section at Target and stuck those on. They're cute - little, kraft and silver letters!

I hope you enjoyed my card today. Check out the Spectrum Aqua Markers on the Crafter's Companion website. There is a video you can watch!
