SSC Monthly Blog Hop – May 25

Hi there! I've got a special card for the SSC Monthly Blog Hop for this month. The theme was to use masking on your project. I have to say, this is NOT a strong suit of mine, but I did a simple mask and I have to say, I love it!! I will definitely be attempting more masking on my cards in the very near future.

I made this as a little thank you card for my son's Kindergarten teacher. Thought the paper I had in my scraps was a perfect fit for a teacher. You can see the detail in the circle that I masked out the center of the circle and stamped smaller circles inside that I colored with a Copic marker. Just the right touch. And the wee pencil...too cute! The school year ends next week and I'm having a hard time coming to grips with the fact that he's going to be a 1st grader!!! **sniff**

Please leave a comment and be sure to visit all the blogs in the hop! Here's a direct link for the blog hop: http://simplyscrapping.ning.com/group/sscmonthlybloghop Join in on the hop and sign up at Simply Scrapping Crafts!! It's a great community to share your creations.

I would love if you would follow my blog as well. Thank you for "hopping" by!

Roxanne, Oh my, I would never have guessed any of this was masked, it all looks so perfect. Great card, I'm sure your son's teacher is going to love it.

Very pretty. I recognize that paper. I still have some too in black and white. As a teacher myself, I know that a handmade card will be greatly appreciated. I am not a huge saver, but I have kept most of the end of year cards I get from parents. Sometimes I look back at them and feel a little boost, that if nothing else, I have touched their children's lives for a year.
